Sandridge Crafted Foods Medina First Responders Appreciation Event

Monday, August 4, 2025

On Tuesday, July 29, Sandridge Carfted Foods hosted an Appreciation Event for the City of Medina First Responders.  During this event, fireman, police officers, and Medina LST members and their families were invited to a meal at Fire Station #1, that was hosted by locally owned Sandriudge company.  Sandridge has been in business for 65 years, and has made Medina the site of their Corporate Hedquarters. Sandridge Crafted Foods is proud to be a third generation, family owned and operated leader in the fresh food industry.

The new Simply Crafted line is dedicated to the Folds of Honor Foundation.  Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization that has been meeting sacrifice with hope since 2007.  The Foundation honors America’s fallen and disabled military and first responders by awarding scholarships to the spouses and children of those who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty,  The Folds of Honor logo, a folded American flag, has thirteen folds and is a reminder of those who have paid the ultimate price for our nation’s freedom.  The Sandridge family has been supporting the Folds of Honor Foundation for many years. Recently, the family decided to make a stronger commitment by annually donating 13% of Simply Crafted items sold in special Folds of Honor packaging. The packaging prominently displays the folded flag logo.

The luncheon event was from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and a second evening from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, During the events the Sandridge family hosted and served all shifts of the City of Medina police, fire, and LST members and their families for a meal.  Feature were some of the Simply Crafted foods that bear the Folds of Honor logo. These items include four soups and four sous vide proteins. Sous Vide is a low-temperature, long-time cooking method invented by the French that involves placing the food in a plastic pouch and cooking in a water bath for a long period of time.

During the luncheon, the Sandridge familyalso  honored Mayor Hanwell for his distinguished serve as a law enforcement officer, including Police Chief of the city, and his sixteen years as Mayor. Medina Mayor Dennis Hanwell, who is also the City’s Safety Director said, “I am exceedingly grateful to Sandridge Crafted Foods, which has been in business here since 1960 and has chosen to locate its corporate headquarters in the city.  The company is one of our most caring community-minded manufacturers, and we are blessed to have them here. Their dedication to veterans and first responders through the Folds of Honor Foundation is a tribute to the character of the Sandridge Family and the way they do business.”
